American History II-Era of Good Feeling
During the lesson, students had to examine the objectives and create something with Legos that demonstrated what they learned in the lesson. The students did a great job of thinking outside the box and applying the information they learned.
Objectives
1. The Cumberland Road was the first road built by the Federal Government
2. The Erie Canal allowed for goods and people to move from New York City and Lake Erie. It ran from Albany, NY to Buffalo, NY.
3. Nationalism is a feeling of pride and loyalty to a nation.
4. Even during the Era of Good Feeling were peace, pride, and progress grew in the United States, sectionalism threatened the country.
5. Sectionalism is when regions become divided and care only about the interests of their region.
6. The Old Plank Road has great history ties to Ste. Genevieve.
7. Henry Clay hoped the American System would help the United States be able to become independent from Europe.

World History-Early Middle Ages
We ended the Early Middle Ages Unit with students examining all the objectives before their NPR Podcast Challenge exam. Students demonstrated their creativity and teamwork by putting together some really fun projects!
