West County & Park Hills
West County was a strong opponent and taught us a lot about where we need to be at the end of the season. |
Park Hills was bigger than us at every position but the Dragons just outworked them and earned the victory. |
Award Boards and Working on Fundamentals
Fundamentals are an everyday focus in the Ste. Genevieve Basketball Program. We skill build everyday, working on drills and activities that will improve each lady. Our motto is taken from Cross County Runners: "Did you beat your Personal Best today?"
|
After each game, players are evaluated on different skills and are awarded stickers to be placed on their award board. At the end of the season, players get to keep the award boards to see what they have accomplished. These boards are displayed in the Girls Locker Room at school.

Farmington
The Ste. Genevieve Dragons traveled to Farmington to play the Knights. While we lost the game 26-10, the Dragons once again played better than the previous game both offensively and defensively. Grit and determination were on full display as the Dragons won the second half after a slow start.

This game was definitely a learning experience for the Dragons. Great effort and poor execution do not mix well. The ladies understand that we have to take what we learn from practice and apply to the games. This game provided a valuable lesson for future games.
Fredericktown and Arcadia Valley

The Dragons played two very good teams in Fredericktown and A.V, Points were tough to come as both teams pressed and applied half-court pressure . The girls learned how to play at a faster pace and came away from these two games with a higher level of determination of getting better.
